The English 1 course aims to develop an ability to communicate effectively in the general and specialist subjects in English; activate and extend grammar competence and build up the vocabulary of the basic nautical and technical terms. The course comprises the topics referring to general knowledge of ships and shipping, The other key skills area is reading and understanding the technical texts; writing own descriptions.
